Understanding the Ascent Interface
Once you log into the Lender Portal, you'll see the main Ascent interface. This is your central workspace for managing applicants, applications, and servicing tasks.
This guide covers the layout and major interface elements.

Main Layout
The Ascent Portal follows a consistent layout across most pages:
Header (Top Bar): Displays your institution's logo and brand colors. You'll find your profile avatar, settings, and environment indicators (Sandbox or Production) in the top right.
Sidebar Navigation (Left Panel): This is your primary way to navigate between major modules. The visible options depend on your configuration and account permissions. Common sections include:
Leads: Managing applications in progress
Applications: Submitted applications list
Servicing / Reviews: Ongoing loan servicing activity
Documents: Uploaded and generated files
Settings: User, product, and workflow management (admin only)
Content Area (Main Panel): This is where you'll do most of your work. This panel displays the relevant content for your current task, whether you're reviewing an application, sending a document request, or updating a member profile.
Common Interface Elements
Tables and Lists: Most data appears in interactive tables, such as lists of Leads or Reviews. These tables support:
Sorting by column
Filtering with dropdowns or search fields
Clicking rows to view details
Cards and Sections: When viewing a specific application or Lead, related data is grouped into collapsible sections or cards.
Action Buttons and Menus: Key actions (Approve, Make Request, Archive) appear at the top or side of a record. A three-dot icon opens additional options.
Interface Tips
Search and Filter Smartly: Use table filters to narrow results, especially when handling many applications.
Look for Contextual Actions: Ascent shows only relevant actions based on record status. For example, submitted Leads have different available actions than unsubmitted Leads.
Customization and White-Labeling
Ascent supports visual customizations, so your interface may include:
Your logo and brand color palette
Custom names for products or workflows
Tailored navigation or feature sets
Contact your administrator or onboarding contact if anything looks incorrect or unfamiliar.
