Using the Leads Table

The Leads Table in the Lender Portal is your team’s primary workspace for managing member/customer applications. It gives you a real-time view of all active Leads, along with tools to search, filter, assign, review, and take action.

This page outlines how to use the Leads Table effectively — including navigation tips, filtering options, and how to work with individual Leads.

Where to Find the Leads Table

From within the Ascent Lender Portal:

  1. Navigate to the Leads section in the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. You’ll be brought to the Leads Table, which displays all active Leads associated with your institution (based on your user permissions and any filters applied).

Table Layout and Key Information

Each row in the Leads Table represents a single application. Key columns typically include:

  • Member/Customer Name

  • Product Type (e.g. Auto Loan, Personal Loan, Business Term Loan)

  • Status (e.g. In Progress, Submitted, Approved, Closed)

  • Date Started

  • Date Last Updated

  • Assigned Staff Member (if applicable)

Some columns may vary slightly depending on how your institution is configured or what modules are active.

Filtering and Sorting

You can filter or sort the Leads Table using the tools provided at the top of the page. Common filter options include:

  • Submission Status

    • Submitted, Unsubmitted, Approved, Closed, Archived

  • Borrower Type

    • Registered or Unregistered

  • Product Type

    • Filter by the specific products your institution offers

  • Assigned User

    • See which Leads are currently assigned to specific team members

  • Date Filters

    • Useful for tracking recent activity or historical patterns

Use sorting options to re-order by date or name as needed.

Understanding Unregistered Borrowers

If a borrower begins an application without creating an account or signing in, they are marked as an Unregistered Borrower. These Leads are:

  • Hidden by default from the Leads Table

  • Accessible via filters if you want to surface in-progress applications from anonymous users

  • Fully visible once opened, including any form progress or uploaded data

  • Still actionable by your team — including viewing, assisting, or converting to full applications

This flexibility allows you to support casual users and help recover drop-offs if needed.

Opening a Lead

Clicking on any row in the Leads Table takes you to the Member Profile View, which provides:

  • A detailed summary of the applicant’s personal information

  • The specific application form they completed

  • A full record of interactions, notes, and supporting documents

  • Action buttons (Approve, Close, Assign, etc.) to process the Lead

More on this in the Lead Details and Member Profile section.

Common Use Cases

  • Triage new applications as they come in

  • Follow up on partially submitted Leads by Unregistered Borrowers

  • Assign Leads to internal staff for processing or review

  • Perform quick actions (e.g. Archive, Approve, Close)

Notes on Lead Visibility

  • Leads are only visible to users based on their role and permissions

  • Custom filters and views can help larger institutions manage higher volumes of applications

  • Archived or closed Leads are not shown in the default view, but can be accessed with the appropriate filters
