Expressing Interest in TruStage Protection Products
Ascent supports an optional Protection Product Extension that allows members to express interest in financial protection products offered through TruStage. (Available for select credit unions)
This feature helps credit unions promote protection options during the application process without requiring additional staff or member action.
What Members See
When enabled, members see an additional section near the end of the application. This section introduces available TruStage protection products and allows members to indicate interest.
Protection products may include:
Credit Life and Credit Disability Insurance
Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)
Mechanical Repair Coverage
Debt Protection Programs
Information is retrieved in real time from TruStage and tailored to the loan type and member profile. Members can select one or more products before completing the application.
How It Works
Ascent connects to TruStage's quoting API to retrieve and display product information and quotes. This ensures the information is current and accurate.
When a member expresses interest:
Selections are recorded in Ascent and attached to the corresponding Lead
The data appears in the Lead record for follow-up
No personal data is transmitted to TruStage until the member opts to be contacted
This integration can be enabled or disabled per institution or per product.
