What Members See

When a member begins an application, they experience a streamlined, mobile-friendly process designed to maximize completion rates while gathering the information you need. The application flow is modern and intuitive, helping members complete forms quickly and securely.

This section explains what members see during the application process.

Accessing the Application

Members can start an application in two ways:

Direct Link: Each product application has a unique URL that takes members directly to the form.

Splash Page: A customizable landing page with your institution's branding that links to all active applications.

No login is required to begin an application. Members can remain anonymous or register for an account to save progress, upload documents, or return later.

Branded Experience

The entire application flow is white-labeled with your institution's logo, colors, and brand imagery. Members interact directly with your brand, not a third-party provider.

The Application Form

Application forms are dynamic and mobile-friendly:

  • Questions adapt based on previous answers

  • Forms are optimized for mobile devices

  • Progress is automatically saved, even without an account

  • Sections are presented in clear steps with progress indicators

Prefilled Data

If a member has previously used Ascent, some information is automatically prefilled to reduce repetition.

Common prefilled fields include:

  • Name, address, and date of birth

  • Employment details

  • Contact information

With integrations enabled, fields may also be prefilled from your core system or third-party data sources.

Optional Features

Depending on your configuration, members may see:

Protection Product Offers: Insurance or loan protection options from TruStage (available for select institutions)

Document Uploads: Upload required documents during the application

Identity Verification: ID checks or verification steps using integrated providers

Incomplete Applications

If a member doesn't finish the application, their progress is saved. Incomplete applications appear as Leads in your portal, allowing staff to follow up.

For registered members, automated reminders can encourage them to complete the application.

Submitting the Application

When all required steps are complete, members can submit the application. They'll see a confirmation message and, if registered, can log in to the Applicant Portal to view their status.

Submitted applications immediately appear as new Leads in the Lender Portal.
